SUPERB 19thC PERSIAN MIDDLE EASTERN SOLID SILVER REPOUSSE BIRDS TABLE DESK BOX Hello, thank you for having a look at our auctions. Up for auction with No Reserve is a SUPERB 19thC PERSIAN MIDDLE EASTERN SOLID SILVER REPOUSSE BIRDS TABLE DESK BOX. This is a beauty, they honestly do not come much better than this. The Box features truly amazing Repousse designs of Birds along with intricately Hand Etched designs over the entire Box, even a border around the bottom. It is mind blowing to think the time that went into making this box by hand. The Box has a couple small touchmarks or Hallmarks as seen and is guaranteed to be at least 800 Grade Solid Silver, probably even Sterling Silver.
Condition : The Box is in superb condition with only minor signs of use and age, nothing to detract from the beauty in my opinion.
Size : The Box was probably originally to hold small cigarettes but now would be perfect for use on a desk for small office supplies, or a dressing table for small jewelry etc or just to display in a collection, measuring 4-3/4 inches long by 3 inches wide and sits 1 inch tall. The Box also have a quality weight of 258 grams.
