A vintage Russian coal samovar from Tula. It was approximately produced in 1950s at "Shtamp" ("Stamp") plant.

Tula is considered to be the motherland of samovars in Russia. Historians found , that it was 1746 when Tula samovar was firstly mentioned. The main producer of samovars in Tula is the "Stamp" plant. It has existed since the end of the 19th century. At those times it produced cartridges and cartridges for various types of weapons, and later rolled sheets of copper, brass and other alloys. They supplied their production to other enterprises - artels and samovar factories. In 1820 there had been thirteen such plants in Tula, and in 1890 - more than seven dozen! The "Stamp" plant provided them with metal. At that times samovars-kitchens were mainly produced, in which even food could be cooked.
The samovar is very old (near 70 years). There're scratches, scuffs, dirt spots, oxidation and rusty marks on its surface and inside. The burner is missed. The crane rotates without problems. On the body and on its cap you can see 5, 6 numbers (it's unknown what they mean) written in a felt-tip pen (perhaps, it can be cleaned). The samovar wasn't tested.
