You are bidding on a great antique American-Flyer Model 575 Toy Typewriter. It has the original box and comes from the American Flyer Mfg Company when it was at 2229 S. Halsted St., Chicago, IL. That plant closed in 1938 so this toy is from the 1920's or 30's.
It is a toy but it is meant to be used. It functions well but it will need a new ribbon. It is also missing a take-up spool but I think you could adapt a small spool from a spool of thread to act as a take-up.
It is made fr...om tin and is in excellent overall shape. The box has wear and stains and it comes with complete instructions in the bottom of the box
