If you are unfamiliar with this film, it is extremely RARE and one of the most beautifully filmed pieces The SOUND is unbelievable. Everyone in the land of Scatterpods loved machines, They had wake-upper machines, kid-cleaner machines, kitty-feeder machines, and even orange-flavored-jell...y-tickler-maker machines. All the machines were made by the great inventor Vento, and Vento had a very curious son named Toby. Toby follows the pipes to the home of The Witch of the Great Black Pool, which supplies the Black Soup that runs all these machines. The witch warns that the Scatterpods are wasting the Black Soup and it will run out. She shows them how to build machines that run on wind, water and sun for energy, instead of Black Soup. She also explains that they must turn the machines off when not using them. Very interesting film about energy conservation and great lesson in the joy of doing things for yourself and not always needing a machine to do the work for you.
