Up for auction is a VERY RARE Set of 3 Swedish Berggren Folk Art Enamel Storage Canisters with Lids.Each canister has a Swedish saying that rhymes.
The largest canister measures 7.5" tall (without the lid) and its diameter is 8".Det lustigt ar att leva nar man mat i sig far sleva - The funny thing is to live when one can eat food with a ladle
The middle one measures 6" tall and its diameter is 6.5"Eget bord den basta ar av alla jordiska gavor - Your own table is the best of a...ll earthly gifts
The small one is 4" tall with a diameter of 5.75"Litet och gott ar en lycklig lott - Small and good is a lucky lot
The set is in excellent condition, it doesn't look like its been used inside.However, the middle canister has some black marks on it (see 2 pictures)I'm not sure if that's from storage, or if it was possibly scraped?
There are no chips, cracks, color fading or other issues.
