Iconic Jakob Bengel Vintage Chrome and Early Plastic / Galalith Necklace from the Machine Age Art Deco era circa 1920's
Necklace measures approximately 17 inches long. Largest Bead 1/2 inch wide with age crazing. Overall Age wear to Chrome plate. Genuine Art Deco Machine Age Jewelry with expected age wear.
Stylish and Iconic necklace typical of the Art Deco Machine Age designer Jakob Bengel in his favoured Vibrant Tomato Red and Chrome Colourway, consisting of Chrome plated... metal and Galalith or some kind of Early plastic beads.
This attractive necklace is a genuine vintage piece of Art Deco jewellery and does show some age wear. There is crazing to the largest bead and the Chrome plate is very worn.
It is still however a good example of the typical Machine Age jewelry that was so Avante Garde in the 1920's and 1930's Art Deco Era.
The necklace remains perfectly wearable the flaws looks worse in the enlarged photos than real life but sold as seen with damage hence auction listing.
An interesting necklace from the marvellous Art Deco era that can still be enjoyed and worn!
