1950s BOATINGBADGEINTERMEDIATEGIRL SCOUTS This IntermediateGirl Scout Badge is called BOATING and is #4b below or ME (MerrowEdged) with a Dark Green Border. Boating is one of the veryfirst badges ever issued beginning in 1916, and you can still earn it today. The ME badges were revolutionary when they were produced in 1955because previously one had to 'crimp' the extra fabric under when sewingit onto the sash. These have a... finished, or Merrow, edge. Very Hard to find now almost SEVENTY-YEARS LATER! This badge has been removed from a vintage uniform and shows the sewing marks around the outside edge. It is NOT excellent. Pleaseexcuse the watermarks. Sellers have been infringing on my pictures and mywordage.
