Antique Early 20th Century Civic of Sheffield Silver Plated Tea Service.
This is an Antique Early 20th Century Civic of Sheffield Silver Plated Tea Service. This is in excellent condition. It is made by Civic of Sheffield and was produced in the early 20th century. The tea service consists of a tea pot, sugar bowl and milk jug. The pieces are elaborately engraved with a scrolled vine design for decoration. The shape of all three pieces is similar, with bulbous bodies and slende...r handles. The teapot has a swan neck spout and a plastic handle. This helps with keeping the handle cool. The lid is hinged and also has a plastic finial handle. The pieces have a mild time wear patina, which enhances the appearance of the silver plate. They are each marked: REGISTERED CIVIC TRADE MARK, MADE IN SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND.
