This glass framed angel measures about 5.5 x 7 inches and weighs 5.5 oz. The decorative frame is vintage and unique. Painted frame shows some wear. The inlay piece appears to be thick cardboard or wood covered in a shiny patterned foil. Shows some wear. There is a vintage identifying tag on back. One tack is missing from the back. The print could have originally been an renaissance art card framed. Hook for hanging. Does not come with stand.
Fra Angelico (born Guido di Pi...etro; c. 1395 – 1455) was an Early Italian Renaissance painter. He was known to contemporaries as Fra Giovanni da Fiesole (Brother John of Fiesole) and Fra Giovanni Angelico (Angelic Brother John). In modern Italian he is called il Beato Angelico (Blessed Angelic One); the common English name Fra Angelico means the "Angelic friar".
