Original Description:
This large Chinese figure has been in storage in our late relatives belongings for many years, they collected many Oriental items. We don't know a huge amount about it or who it is but some sort of Deity of Emperor seated on a throne. Its condition is good to fair, when we found it its condition was black, no gilt or colour could be seen so we have given it a clean and a light polish, lots of detail was discovered. It looks as if some paint has been lost or repainted as some colours lo...ok quite bright compared to others but I could be wrong, the face shows small holes that has some remains of hair but now sadly gone, date wise I think 19th to early 20th century but again unsure, no breaks or missing carvings. Size large aprox 17" tall 9.5" wide and 8.5" deep and heavy, please feel free to ask any questions, sent well wrapped and recorded. Thank you.
