If you like Very Dark to Black Foliage . . . this is for you Gossypium herbaceum ‘Nigra’ BLACK COTTON . . .Black-Leaved Cotton produces Near-Black foliage and months of Hibiscus-like Dark Pink flowers turning to Dark Red that are followed by near-Black Bolls (pods) that break open to reveal the Fluffy, White Cotton. The upright, branching plants usually reach 18 to 36 inches tall and Flowers 45-60 daysIt thrives in full sun and rich soil with regular watering. Rarely seen in home gardens, this plant gives bragging rights to those gardeners who yearn to grow some unusual plants in their summer gardenIt's a dramatic foliage accent in the garden and fantastic in containers!
