These nine plastic cars and trucks were mine as a boy. They were in a box of small vehicles that was packed away with all my other toys in my parents’ attic for more than 50 years until I sold the family home in 2014. All are made of soft plastic except the Jaguar, which is hard plastic. Four of the cars are by Lapin Products and are modeled after late 1930s--early 1940s vehicles. The four other soft plastic vehicles are by Payton Plastics and resemble late 1940s--early 1950s cars an...d trucks. The trucks are a delivery panel truck and a gasoline tanker. The hard plastic vehicle is a Jaguar and is possibly by Marx, although it is not branded. The bodies of all nine vehicles are in good condition except for the missing windshield frame of the Jag. One of the Lapine cars is missing one wheel, and another is missing an axle and two wheels. These were some of my earliest plastic vehicles.
