RARE Fenton / VERYLS Amethyst Carnival Glass Mermaid Jardinere Vase. This is a beautiful carnival 7" planter produced by Fenton from 1970 - 1972 known as the Mermaid Planter. This is a dramatic and desirable planter in amethyst purple made from a modified Verlys mold. The pattern is all exterior and features mermaids in different poses around the exterior of t...he planter. The planter has a scalloped top edge and beautiful irridescence. The planter is actually 6 1/2" tall and 7 1/4" across. The planter is in excellent condition. The planter is marked the the cursive Fenton in an oval on the base. This is an extremely heavy item. A delightful addition to any collection.
