Original Description:
Two beautiful antique lithographs which were illustrations to "Flore des Serres et des Jardins de l'Europe" published in a monthly periodical between 1845 and 1883. The Belgian editor and founder of the work was Louis van Houtte (see below) in coordination with botanist Charles Lemaire. Van Houtte owned the largest nursery of its time on the continent, the "Horto van Houtteano" and the printing office was located in the midst of the gardens.

Good condition. Printed color finished by hand. Page size 10 x 7 inches. A fine addition to any botanical collection, including the associated French text
