Here's an antique citron yellow or maybe golden yellow ( all depends on your color palette) medicine or apothecary jar or bottle that is blown in mold, has an applied lip or finish, and dates to probably 1865-1875. Measures 8-1/2" tall by 2-1/2" wide, having a drippy lip, with pronounced tooling marks, and many tiny entrapped air bubbles. The lip is quite interesting, as I tried showing the marks in it- there is on overlapping section of glass on the inside lip as you can run your fing...er over it and feel it. About an inch long. This is slag glass, and just above it a rough feeling. Several other thin line marks that I believe to be tooling marks, although extremely tough to be sure. Looks to be a rough application of the lip on this piece. Beveled corners compliment this outstanding colored early American bottle.Other than that, it's a beautiful bottle with no other issues.
