Beautiful antique 19th Century engraving depicts the stag beetle and was illustrated by Specht.

Engraving came from a very rare antiquarian natural history book printed in 1876. There is printing on the reverse side but this does not show through to the front and would be covered when framing.

The engraving is in great condition which only a few minor smudges on the outer border and would look beautiful framed.  The engraving measures 8 1/4"... x 10 1/2". The actual engraving is much sharper than this scan shows.
