This auction is for a large, beautifully embroidered ecclesiastical motif on cream silk satin.
The motif is embroidered with metallic gold wire thread of different textures.
The embroidery in very good condition, and would be perfect to re-work.  It is very stable as it has been embroidered through the silk onto a cotton backing (see last photo).

The motif (including the 'rays' on either side) measures 19 x 9 inches (47.5 x 22.5 cm).
The cream silk ...ground is approx. 30 x 22 inches (75 x 55 cm).
