~Antique vintage Quilt~Lovely antique vintage "COURTHOUSE STEPS" memorial quilt. This is a wonderful heirloom piece made of fabulous 1930-40s feedsack cotton prints, silks, wool fabrics. This lovely gem is entirely hand pieced and hand tied. Nice memorial quilt "Minnie Steinke 1853-1941" this is stitched on the other matching quilt. I believe this memorial quilt was made of this ladies clothing. This is one of 2 quilts from the same estate. There are several of the narrow strips of silk that have deteriorated (check the photos closely), there is some light soiling & spots (as shown). The quilt is backed by a very lovely feedsack cotton print. This is being sold in AS FOUND CONDITION- for study or repair. I have not laundered this lovely gem.
