An excellent example of a 19th century Goodyear's Rubber Button. It is a shank button measuring 14/16ths inch in diameter. Back marked Goodyear's N. R. Co. 1851 P=T. The color is solid black. Button is in excellent condition. The button has not been cleaned. I leave that decision to the new owner.
