Antique Victorian James Dixon And Sons Silver Plated Nut Bowl/decanter

Fresh from an Arkansas estate is this elegant and scarce James Dixon and Sons silver plated stand with three bowls in the classic English style and circa 1870's. The silver plated decanter stand (?) has a central spade handle and waved scroll and form borders. It contains three round bowls that may originally have had decanter bottles. The caddy could also be used to serve nuts----as pictured---or candies. The craftsmanship is beautiful and in very good, antique condition. Properly ma...rked James Dixon and Sons and underneath that SHEFFIELD. One bowl is also marked with what looks like JDS (?) 194. Above the JAMES DIXON & SONS stamp is a lion, crown, and unicorn. The height is 14 " and the width is 9." The silver plating is in very good condition but shows wear as a 19th century piece should. The stand sits solidly with no "wiggle" and has a heavy, substantial feel to it. I will WRAP carefully for mailing.
