Historically fascinating it reads more like an 1860's newspaper account than a history book.
Steel engraved plates including over 150 portraits of generals, battles maps and diagrams. Plates have high contrast. Some have foxing; separated by tissue.
Condition is fair to poor. Front cover separated from binding and deteriorated. Loose binding . Pages are tight with some foxing, yellowing, staining, discoloration, wear, etc. throughout but still high;y readable.
