German watch signed “T. A. Phillipi IN HAMBURG” on dial, cuvette, and movement. The watch is 55 mm in diameter. The movement is running well with the cylinder escapement, fusee, and chain in good working order. The repair on the cock of the fourth wheel looks to me to be an original repair by the maker to correct a mistake when it was made. The gilding perfectly matches the rest of the movement, and the craftsmanship is equal to the rest of the movement as well. Two of the pins tha...t fasten the dial to the movement are missing, so be carefull of this when you get the watch, the is held in place by only one pin. The case is marked 18 K gold. The hinges for the back and front are tight. The hinge for the signed inner cuvette is slightly loose. All covers snap snuggly shut. The inner one is a little too snug, needs some adjustment. Opens well at nine o clock position, a little too snug otherwise. Bullseye crystal has light scratches And chipping. Dial has hairlines around five o clock. Hands have light fluff rust, and one hand is not original. No key provided, I used my own bench key. Two different size keys needed for the winding and setting. The balance cock and assembly are as fine and delicate as I have ever seen. The feet are fine.
