McFarlin used minimal painting on his lovely mermaids - light painting at the eyes - no rouge or lipstick. Her blonde hair is pulled up into a pony-tail, which is wrapped with shiny ceramic gold. Her upper body is bisque, and the lower port...ion is a sparkly gold. Because bisque has no glaze protecting the clay body, she has some light wear and spots (see pictures) typical of her vintage age. There's a line at her neck, which I do not believe is a crack - it appears to be part of the clay condition. Someone along the line used her as a planter, as the inside has brown marks indicative of plants.
The bottom is stamped "Freeman McFarlin 1958" with a copyright stamp in the middle. She is about 8 long by 9 tall.
I've washed her gently, and she is ready for her new home. Please see pictures and ask questions!
