Antique Cast Iron Skillet Gate Mark. has an "E" on the bottom with what looks like a "I" mark below it. Measures 10" Antique Cast Iron Skillet Gate Mark "E" 10" as found, fire ring. It does not sit completely flat on a flat surface, it works well on a gas burner stove.  I am not sure what the whiteish residue is.I do believe this to be enamel residue.  I have not tried to clean except with a bit of soapy water and wiped dry. Has a nice feel to it, the thinner cast iron. ...I could not find anything that had this mark. The bottom does have a slight bow so does not sit without a wobble on a flat surface. I know it is old, but my best guess is the E stands for Erie. Very early Griswold or Wagner? A nice project for someone. Thanks for looking.
