Vintage Art Deco Heavy Lime Green Agate & Chrome Cigarette/Trinket Box.This superb quality & incredibly stylish box probably started life as a cigarette box, though it is that nice it would look good on any dressing table or desk.It measures 12cm long, 10cm front to back, 3.5cm in height.The base is made from heavy cross cornered chrome, and has a hinged almost translucent lime green agate-marble lid with bevelled corners and edges.Probably due to the weight, the lid is fixed w...ith chrome struts, top and bottom, that just add to the overall style.We are guessing it to be from the 19930's or 1940's, definitely Art Deco influenced.It weighs about 745g, just to emphasize the overall weight.Condition is mainly excellent, a few small marks to the agate, though it is uncleaned, a single chip to the underside right hand edge, but overall an incredibly clean example as you will see in the photos.
