FOR SALE:This is from a very large camera estate in western PA that has been sitting unused in storage for many years. Note: I am not a photographer, collector nor expert. I am selling estate items. I am not able to assess condition in any professional manner. This item is being sold AS IS and may need cleaning and restoration to be used. Sold for parts or restoration. This is a pair of antique camera shutters. BOth are a curtain style shutter. The smaller one measures about 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches and not quite an inch thick. there is no label, but the brass ring that would accept a lens is marked T.T.&H. The threaded opening for the lens is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. I'm not sure if it is complete. A lever piece on the one side seems to be loose. THere is a curtain inside. IT winds and springs back. I don't see how to "set" it to stay. The second shutter is much larger. It measures 4 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches and an inch thick. There is a round sticker on the bottom that reads Thornton Pickard Altrincham England. This one has a flexible hose with a bulb on the end that is embossed Thornton Pickard. The hose is clamped to the frame, but just ends. THere is a string, that when pulled opens the curtain shutter, but then they stayed open. Both of these are clearly for repair or parts. I'm not an expert on lenses and shutters SO - This auction is intended for buyers who can repair or restore if needed. Please bid accordingly. I'm selling for parts or restoration.
