Unique and old still life oil painting depicting pink roses in a vase on a levitated plank of wood. The painting is rendered on canvas and stretched on board, overall measurements are 21 x 13". It is signed on the plank of wood "HST 1887", this would be HS Turner, possibly from the Bay City area of Michigan. Condition is fair - good; shows some light paint loss along the left side of the painting with some noticeable losses along the edges, corners..., along the top of the flowers and right corner. There also appears to be a light scrape or dirtiness on the front side of the vase. Painting is original and untouched with no craculature or fade.
