The item for sale is a Chinese bowl that was made out of Peking glass with squirrels and grape vines carved in deep relief. A layer of blue glass was overlaid on white glass. The carving has a cameo effect as the blue is carved away to the white layer. The quality of the carving is fairly good as individual grapes in bunches are formed. This must have been difficult to make without accidental chips. The condition is almost like new. There is ...a tiny loss to one of the edges of one of the grape leaves. This blends well with the design. See the left side of photograph 2. The height and diameter are 2" and 3 1/2".
