Rare Vintage 1960’s Lotus Powered By Ford Pedal Car By Pines - Amazing Survivor!. Condition is Used.
Car is a recent estate find. It is in really good, fairly complete condition. These cars come up very rarely and it’s even more rare to see one this complete.
Body is plastic. The front and back pieces are removable. I’ve cleaned the car thoroughly and have shined it up.
The engine is removable. There is a small electric motor with a noise maker attached in the engin...e compartment. There is a spot for 2 D batteries and a switch on the side of the driver. The motor is untested and the wiring needs repair. The motor looks very generic and would be easy and cheap to replace if required.
There is age related wear and tear on the body and wheels. The most serious issue would be the front nose. The front nose has some damage. It would need some plastic repair. The grill portion of the nose, however looks really good so the repair is definitely do-able. The windshield is original and is in poor condition. Best used as a template for a new one.
I’ve added a bit of glue from a glue gun to hold on the windshield and to lesson the crack on the front nose. The glue pulls easily off and is temporary only.
The car needs a restoration to be perfect. It does look and work great as is, however!
As the car is a restoration project, it is being sold as is, for parts/repair.
