Here's Illinois'... first dedicated railroad case, with a wide and smooth back framed by the distinctive “dot-dash” edge pattern, a thick railroad-approved neck, wide, wind-able crown, and distinctively designed two-step or wedding cake engraved bow! This much sought after case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads and the crystal so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The matching original crown's fluting is like new for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set (e.g., Bunn Special) movement will work inside. The bow is also its correct two-stage original, shows zero brass or damage, and holds extra tight to positions. The crystal is a thick beveled mineral glass model and super clear with no distractions. This fine case fits all standard-featured lever-set-ONLY movements. The case does show exceptionally minimal wear, including just light surface scratches, zero marrings or doodlings, zero brass anywhere on the route, and absolutely, positively no dents, dings, dimples or depressions.
