Manufactured by Geppetto Pottery between 1939 and 1940. Geppetto Pottery was the name used by it's parent company Brayton Laguna Pottery for products made to coincide with the Walt Disney release of Pinocchio in 1940 and is the first pottery company licensed by Disney. Very official looking the coachman is drawing on his p...ipe while carrying a brown whip at his side. Decked out in a blueish green coat with matching mustard yellow buttons and gloves and a periwinkle blue hat he stands roughly 9 inches tall and is quite striking. This extremely rare cookie jar is guaranteed to be the pride of any collector of cookie jars or Disney. Considering the age of this unique and coveted jar it is in nice condition, the only noted flaws being a small chip which is concealed by the lid and a small, hardly noticeable flea bite to his right shoulder. Both of these anomalies are pictured and by no means detract from it's beauty. So please examine the photos as they best describe this great cookie jar and it's overall condition.
