What are you bidding on today is on of the best and beautiful and rare Chinese cricket cage I have ever owned. The gourd has a seen of wild Chinese horses playing in the background there mountains and trees with Chinese writing at the top edge of the gourd. the carving on the lid or cover of the cricket cage is exceptional, the carving is of a tree branch covered with flowers that are opened and in bud. Piece of this kind are very rare and unusual and very hard to find cause most are i...n important collections and museums around the World. A wonderful piece by a Chinese master. This piece came to me from a old collection of unusual high quality art objects.
