Description
As the best TLRs in the world, Rolleiflex are the most desired TLR model in the nostalgic film photographers. 2.8F/3.5F model is no doubt the diamond on the crown. I think the paramount of Rollei brand is around the era that 2.8f/3.5f was manufactured, until when the great founders and partners, Frank and Heideck's name were no longer engraved on its cameras. The taking lens is the desirable Schneider Xenotar, but has minor scratches on it, but will not affect the image quality. The coating of the Schneider Xenotar is very soft, you can see tons of copies of 80/2.8 Xenotar has bad coating or even lost almost all the coating, for this camera, its optical condition is above average of all these Xenotars. The cover of the flash sync is missing but it does not affect any functionality, so just do not miss the chance, bid with confidence!◆Overall Condition: Excellent The camera has moderate use marks. Some paint loss spot on the edge. The camera is extremely new concerning its 50+ years age.◆Functional
Shutter works properly at both low and high speed.Aperture speed dails works smoothly.Shutter speed dails is a little stiff, but still working.The focus knob works silky smooth as it should.
The light meter still respond to light.But, I'd recommend you buy a external light meter since you have such a wonderful camera, do not try to save 200 on a good meter. The Silicon meter deteriorated through time, its accuracy is in no guarantee even it has never been used.
Self-timer works.
No other specific defect detected.◆Optical system
Viewfinder is very clear without scratches or dirt.Neither lens has fungus/haze/separation/scratches or any other defects.The taking lens has some minor scratches on the fornt element, does not affect the image quality.◆Accessories
