Offered here for your enticement is this antique Art Deco period hat stand in the form of a beguiling flapper lady! Dating to the 1920’s to 30’s, this is a fantastic find for m’ladies’ boudoir! Measuring just over 10” tall, this wonderful vanity accessory is made from turned wood with hand painted details. Wearing a smart black bow at her neck, the lady evinces a confident expression and sports a classic bob hairdo, synonymous with the roaring twenties. These lady head h...at stands came in a variety of colors. This example comes in buttery yellow hue that has taken on a warm patina over the years. You will note some overall scuffs and wear from years of use and enjoyment. Particularly, look closely at the photos to see some paint wear at the top of the bangs, along with some circular depressions or dents in the forehead, where the bangs meet the brows.
