This Magnum Tanto model 13M is the first Cold Steel rendition of today's 9" tanto. It was produced in limited quantities from some time in the mid-1980's to 1989 when the Magnum Tanto II was released. It has an 8 3/4″ blade in Cold Steel’s "400 Series Stainless" and San Mai III with fittings in 300 series stainless. It was the first CS tanto to have the full guard shaped like the tsuba on a Japanese sword. The Magnum Tanto is unique in that unlike other and later Tantos, it has cha...mfering- a raised spine ridge, rather than a flat spine top. This blade is in mint condition. The only flaw whatsoever are some tiny marks on the pommel. I never noticed them until I looked at the photo which is attached. The original leather four-rivet sheath has some minor pressure marks from being in my knife case. This is an extremely nice and hard-to-find knife to add to your collection.
