Vintage Marley Hodgson 32 RARE 1980’s Ghurka Travel Bag Tan Twill Brown Leather

This lovely travel case is hand made in the USA and an original Ghurka bag. This version, the Trekker, is rare. The canvas is very clean overall and the leather is soft, supple, and clean. The bag stands 14” tall and 17” wide with a depth of 7” and a pair of leather handles with a drop of 7” and a shoulder strap with an adjustable drop of around 20”. There are four pockets on the exterior, two which are open and two which are flap closures. There are two zippered pockets with... mouths at the top, one a side pouch pocket and one, the main pocket, with a buttoned side pocket chamber. There is a small slit in the bottom of the side pocket chamber, shown. This does not penetrate to the exterior of the bag but only to the main chamber. This is the only tear in the canvas. On the front of the bag there are light discolorations on the pockets and sides, shown. The leather trim on the outer edges shows some tearing and scuffing. At the mouth of the bag the leather has split at all four corners, which is very common for these vintage bags. The feet of the bag have oxidation, shown. The strap is intact and rugged.
