This lot features one of several estate antique wrist watches being listed for the first time, this week! This piece is a fantastic and beautiful historic piece indeed! This is an original Harwood Perpetual automatic wristwatch from right out of the 1920s. If you are not familiar with this brand, please take a moment to Google the name John Harwood and the Perpetual moniker to learn the fascinating history of this first automatic wristwatch and its influence on the history of watchmaki...ng thereafter. This piece is a really beautiful example with a fully signed 15 Jewel movement, Perpetual signed dial, and 14 karat green gold plated case. It is just beautiful. The dial has highly iconic green numbers with a beautiful eggshell-colored dimpled background. It is clearly signed, and the back is engraved from April of 1929. The bezel of the watch, which is supposed to rotate in order to rotate the hands and set the watch, is currently so tight that I cannot seem to move it. I don't know exactly why that is, but I don't want to damage anything by pushing too hard on such an old piece. The measurements of this fantastic watch are 1 and 1/2 in Long and 1 and 1/4 in across the center. It has a perfectly reflective glass Crystal, and it would take a 16 mm strap. This watch has not been serviced or reviewed by a professional and is being sold in as-is condition with no warranties actual or implied. It may be a potentially valuable restoration piece or it could be used for the wealth of Parts contained in it .
