Original Description:
This is a rare vintage Gentex flight helmet. I believe it dates to 1980 as the visor is dated "2/80" (see photo). It has the tinted visor, very nice soft leather lining, earphones and microphone with cord and plug (see photo). It is white in color with the lightning bolt graphics. Finish is glossy and the leather lining, chin strap, etc. are all nice and in very good shape. There is some light discoloration on one side that appears to be from contact with the coiled cord. The lens viso...r housing has a crack on the back edge (see photo) but the helmet itself has no cracks or even major scuffs. The tinted visor is also in good shape with no cracks. I believe it is a size L or XL. This is straight from an estate. I'm not real knowledgeable about flight helmets but I'll do my best to answer any questions. Nice, rare vintage Gentex flight helmet!
