I am afraid I know very little about this lovely little frame other than what is written (now very faint) 'Made by German Prisoner T18 war' on the reverse. I have not researched Rev. F.R. Swan and what relation he has to the frame.
This is a lovely object, the cruidness of manufacture adding to the overall charm of the piece and still in very good condition.
A lovely period frame.
