Beautiful mid-Victorian silver plated large two-handled sugar bowl of baluster squat form resting on a pedestal foot. The body is intricately embossed and engraved with a gorgeous floral, scroll and leaf design. There are two empty cartouches on either side. The sugar bowl is unmarked, but it came part of a tea set that was marked "S Shiers & Co, London".Condition Good overall antique condition. Dent in the lower half of the body on one side; the plating is peeling ...in a large area of the underside, but the place is not immediately visible unless the bowl is turned upside down.
