RARE VINTAGE HEDLAND JOE CASH WOOD SLALOM WATER SKI . Its approximately 65" in length. It's in used condition with wear, chips and nics here and there from over the years. The boots are in great condition for their age. He was a very famous professional water-skier in the 1950's and 60's. Joe Cash started waterskiing at the age of 17 and passed away at 30 from a car and train accident in 1967. But in his short life and late start in waterskiing he became a GREAT. He was known in his ti...me as the only waterskier in the history of the sport to set records in all three disciplines – slalom, jump, and trick – though at the time, only records in the jump were officially recognized. He invented the deep water barefoot start using no skis to get up in 1958. We have collected many of the Joe Cash skies because he was my husbands second cousin.Condition is Used.
