Original Description:
This original unmarked all brass antique utilitarian desk lamp and shade made by Faries in Decatur, Illinois dates from around 1900. All brass lamp with a heavy (cast iron) weighted base and fat-boy turn-key socket. Comes with original all brass parabolic shade marked "Patented Nov. 10, 1908". In as found used condition, with some dings on base and a couple of soft dings on shade (see pics).  Has a aged patina finish overall. Has newer vinyl cord. Fixture stands approx. 18 1/2 in.... tall and base is approx. 5 1/2 in. in diameter. Please look at pictures as they are a major part of description. Please e-mail any and all questions.
