Here is a very unusual American Waltham pocket watch. The SIGNED movement is a 16-A 22 Jewel 3 Adjust + Temp. USA movement. Serial # 31, 789, 468 dates this watch to 1943. This movement appears to be complete but will need to be re-staffed. The case is a Philadelphia Watch Case Co. SIVERODE and measures 49.7 mm wide. Th...is is a 16 size American made pocket watch. The SIGNED dial is very clean and has bold Arabic script hour markers and a gold sunken sub-seconds. Missing its hour hand. The crown is located at the 1:45 position which makes me think the dial feet might be wrong or the movement has been recased. I honestly don't know as I have never seen this configuration before. The crystal is glass and has a few minor edge chips, otherwise is clean. This unusal and rare 16-A Waltham watch is soild for repair.
