A Pair of Vintage Sconce or Newell Post Candelabra Arms
These arms were recently acquired from an estate in Upstate NYThese arms are crafted of Brass with a gold Gilt finish (could be bronze but I'm leaning toward brass)
Each has a central pole which holds aloft a central platform containing 6 arms
All the arms have frond like leaves curling off which match the palm type leaves below the central platform and also have both cast bloomed flowers and cast blossoms waiting to bloo...m
The arms all pivot.
The central pole has a hole drilled near the bottom, perhaps for attaching the pole to a wall. the bottom of the pole has a 1/2 " diameter threaded peg. The top of the arms are varied and take two different types of candle cups. Some of the arms have a 1/8" threaded hole and accept candle cups with a 1/8" threaded pole sticking out the base. Other arms have a 1/4" peg at the top and wold accept a candle cup with a 1/4" threaded hold. I do not have the candle cups with a threaded hole.
These pieces are quite large measuring 20" across the arms when the arms are fully fanned out and 30" high from bottom to top
These remind me of something that would be held aloft by a pair of Large Italian Carved Blackamoor figures.These are missing pieces and have some leaves broken off but are FILLED with useful pieces and parts for lamp restoration and they are fantastic enough to justify investing some time and energy to restore them.Missing most of the candle cups, Missing one leaf on one of the palm style spacers below the central platform. missing some of the leaves on the arms as well as some of cast flowers.
