GORGEOUS HUGE VINTAGE FRENCH PURE LINEN SHEET LOVELY EMBROIDERY 223 CMS WIDE

This is a fabulous vintage French pure linen sheet, it is very wide measuring a 223 cms wide ( 7ft 3 ins), its in excellent condition and in my mind is stunning in its simplicity. The embroidery has all been worked by hand, no sewing machine has ever been near this sheet.
Where to begin..... The deep double bottom hem has a double row of drawn work which travels the full width of the sheet, above this sits a deep band of very pretty drawn work which runs almost the full ...width and then traverses up the side of the sheet. An identical double band also traverses the full 86 cms up the sides of the sheet. It is all very pretty, just imagine how gorgeous this would look when turned down on a made bed. The bottom hem is equally pretty, no simple turned hem a pretty row of petite ladder work runs the full width again this has all been worked by hand.
The fabric is a pure linen, it has a gorgeous luxurious feel and to sleep with it would be delightful, it is a soft snowy white in colour.
As the photos show there is one small yet almost invisible darn to the sheet, I guess it must have got caught on the bed springs as the fabric is all good and strong with no obvious areas of wear. This small darn is of course reflected in the price.
Freshly laundered and ironed so all ready to go. Measurements:

7 ft 3 ins wide x 9 ft 8 ins long
