Antique Large Jefferson Lamp Base For Slag Or Leaded Glass Shade Handel Era
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:21160 |
This is an example of one of the largest Jefferson base lamps made. It stands approx 23 1/2" tall with 7 1/2" base. These lamps are often confused with Handel as they look remarkably alike. In addition share the same riser and finial, these larger lamps with their decorative design are considered to be on the same level as Handel (see pictures). This lamp is in remarkable shape (...see pictures) with a few flea bites on the original paint which would be consistent with its age.
