The Precision Scale Crown Series runs of the HOn3 Uintah #50 2-6-6-2T which is Factory Painted is a RARE Model! This is #18 out of 30 built. PSC also made a similar run of #51.
Now for the rest of the story.... This model runs like a Fine Swiss Watch AND has a Soundtraxx Economi Steam DCC w/Sound Decoder Custom Installed by Scale Brass Mechanic (Salida, CO) with direction...al lighting, custom keep-alive capacitor installation (to overcome small sections of dead track or dirty track and still run smoothly) and extra driver wheel electrical pick-ups to improve electrical connection with the rails. The speaker is located in the tender box. A small load of coal can be added to cover the speaker and add realism and the sound will still penetrate and sound great.
Valuing locomotives like this is always a bit subjective. However, BrassTrains.com lists this locomotive without DCC at $1, 325.00. The Pacific Fast Mail (PFM/United) version of this locomotive is listed also at $1, 200.00 unpainted. Custom DCC Installations start in the $500 range and can run much higher if the locomotive is also undergoing additional servicing such as a better gearbox, new can or core-less motor and other enhancement. A custom paint job if comparing to the PFM would add easily $350 - $500.00 for a professional paint job. PSC's factory painting & lettering is beautiful and really adds value to this piece since they are so rare to begin with!

Not many of these ever ran on layouts. They were bought by collectors and stored away and that is a darn shame! This locomotive is exquisite in detail and 2nd to none in operational performance!
I have additional photos and operating videos for interested parties showing the locomotive can navigate with ease 24" radius curves and #6 turn-outs. The wheelbase is fully articulated and she has the weight to provide significant traction and pulling power!

Box is in c6 condition with original foam insert (small section of foam missing or cut away). Box shows signs of where and had some minor handwriting markings on it. Overall, box is in great condition.
