From an antique hoarders estate (he was primarily into locomotives, train related, steam toys, etc). Not quite sure of the exact age...my best guess would be approx. the turn of the century (Ca. early 1900's). Cool advertising piece with moving parts. Mostly, non magnetic so despite the black coloring, I believe this is all cast brass or at least a brass plating in areas over some base metal...but uncertain. Mahogany base. The base does have wear, paint splatte...rs, 2 light little dings on 2 of the corners. I believe the entire piece is in its original untouched state. Advertisement for "Ziegler Elect. Co.
