You are bidding on a vintage, 1980s Metal-bodied John-Deere Hay Swather Combine manufactured by Ertl.
This is an 1980s version of the iconic farm piece where there it is almost exclusively made of metal. Everything you see that is green is metal, the rest is plastic. Ertl claims this is an authentic "blueprint replica" and is made from a die-cast rust-resistant metal.
This comes from my personal collection and has been in a box for years. There is no rust on the body or underfra...me. The item has never been outside in dirt or sand and for this reason I believe why it is still in such fine condition. There is very minor paint nicks and dings along some of the sharper corners.
The John Deere name stickers are still firmly attached and are present on both sides. The reel and crumpers still turn freely by gears attached to the unit wheels.
This is an excellent vintage toy that they simply don't make them like any longer. It would be an excellent addition to any collection or for another round of joy for a younger generation.
