This listing is for a VINTAGE 1950's BATTERY OPERATED MUSICAL CAR with MUSIC BOX in its original box as shown. It is in perfect working order. Overall condition is mint. Mechanism is strong. Tin litho, plastic windows and rubber tires are nice. Detailed interior. No rust or corrosion anywhere. Battery compartment is spotless. The correct actions of this toy are as follows: Turn the toy "ON" and it moves forward while it plays " There's no place like Home " on it's musi...c box. Absolutely no cracked or damaged parts on this toy. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed on page 123. It is a 1950's era toy made by the Asahitoy Co. It is approx 9 inches long. It has a rarity of 8 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $360.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The box is in very good - excellent condition. It does have a single clear tape repair on the inside of the lid. Would make a great display to any auto, truck or Ford toy collection. A must have if you own a 1955 or 56 Ford. Too Cool.
